Wetlands play an extremely important role in the overall health of an ecosystem as they support aquatic and other habitats, provide flood control and prevent wind & wave erosion, among many others. For over 20 years, EGIS has designed, constructed and monitored wetlands. As the authority on wetlands, EGIS understands the complexities that can occur during the designing and creation of wetlands, and knows how to navigate these issues. EGIS has created or restored hundreds of wetlands across the U.S. and brings the professional experience and scientific knowledge required to not only create wetlands, but ensure that they are thriving and sustainable for many years to come. EGIS installs water control sturctures, plants trees and herbaceous wetland plants, constructs wildlife shelters, nesting structures and implements erosion control as well as seeding and mulching for the present and future growth of wetlands.
