EGIS has successfully designed and constructed streams throughout the United States for over 20 years and understands that not all streams are alike. EGIS Natural Developments has expertise in not only the creation of new streams, but the channelization, straightening and rerouting of existing streams to accommodate development.  EGIS often includes the creation or improvement of the riparian zone adjacent to the stream channel to ensure the end result is a balanced ecosystem. EGIS utilizes resources from stream construction sites and uses them as natural adaptations to the newly created or relocated streams. Such resources include trees, logs and large rocks to stabilize stream banks and to create shelving for habitats within the stream. EGIS plants native trees and shrubs and creates nesting areas wherever possible.
