In order to successfully remediate a mold issue, proper protocol and procedure must be followed. EGIS utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as outlined safety precautions. Remediation involves several tools and supplies such as:
Air purifiers, negative air machines, relative humidity testers, dehumidifiers
EGIS works to construct a containment area to reduce the contamination of the adjacent areas. After the mold has been removed and inspected by Certified IAQ Consultants, fungicide is applied to all surfaces. Air duct cleaning and disinfection may be recommended if mold is detected in HVAC coils or duct work.
Following Remediation, Post-remediation sampling is conducted in order to verify that the mold issue has been resolved. As it is impossible to remove all mold spores from the air, further air quality evaluation is conducted and the results are examined by EGIS and disclosed to the client.
