Medical Clinic Mold Remediation

Business Challenge:

A Medical Clinic Building located in Arkansas—was experiencing serious mold and mold related issues. The clinic provided a vital service to the community and the doctors and staff within the building wanted to continue their work with patients during the remediation process. This project was of a particular challenge as mold exposure can cause serious health risks if not handled appropriately.

EGIS was sensitive to the needs of the community and the desire of both the doctors and community residents to have their  clinic remain open during remediation. Faced with these unique challenges, EGIS spared no precaution and utilized their years of working experience and expertise to remediate the mold issue in a safe and timely fashion.

EGIS’s Response to its Client’s Needs:

EGIS handled this extremely challenging project with the professionalism and sensitivity that it deserved. By using alternative methods such as dry ice blasting, the clinic was able to remain open and not experience a serious disruption so that patients could continue to be seen.

Dry ice blasting was used for the mold remediation as dry ice blasting is superior to the traditional mold removal methods i.e., sanders, scraper, wire brushes. Dry ice blasting was also utilized because it cleans the area more thoroughly and in far less time than traditional methods. Dry ice blasting was ideal for the  clinic as it is safer, less messy than traditional methods and produces less secondary waste.

The work EGIS performed allowed for the clinic to continue to see  patients and the results of the mold remediation helped to bring the medical building back to life.
